Post by hotrodbob Sat Feb 05, 2011 1:37 am

Hi, just came over here from the HHR.net site. I have an HHR SS. It's all stock right now. I had a 2.4 5spd HHR panel, but totaled it. Couldn't find a replacement so I ended up with the SS last summer. Panel had a Eibach suspension with Progress rear bar. I did save the bar..May add it to my SS. As time and money permit I want to do the stage 1 upgrade and lower my HHR to start with.

I live in the central coast area, but come down to the L.A. area every week. Irwindale for the drags and various car shows, etc. My kids called me hotrod bob when they were little since that is what I drove and the industry I have worked in as well as some manufactures like GM, Isuzu, Nissan and BMW.

I raced/autocrossed in SCCA, FCCA with sports cars and production class sedans. Even placed second at an SCCA event with my company BMW once...They never knew... Hope to make friends here that are into more then just bolt on look good parts as most HHR guys do.

I've been seeing a yellow SS Cobalt a few times. Wonder if that's the member? Maybe a run up hwy 1 cruz and BBQ this summer at the cool beaches up here.

Yep, that's me. I spoke with one of your guys there. He had the yellow Cobalt with the carbon fiber body parts. Talked about how the turbo cars stock have more HP then his with mods.

When I was still with GM I almost bought a Cobalt SS after I drove it, but then the HHR panel came out and I was hooked.. It had 175HP with the 2.4 and I figured a few tweaks would get it close to the 205 of the SS... Never got that far though.
