New to the forum

Hey guys and girls! I'm new to this forum. My name is Jon and I live in So Cal, Irvine to be more specific. Would love the chance to meet up with some of the members. guess this is the part where i list car, mods, etc... well i have a 2007 cobalt ss/sc. so far my mods consist of: zzp stage 3 supercharger kit, option b with dual pass, tsudo cat back exhaust, zzp headers/downpipe with high flow cat, aeroforce intercepor gauge with aeroforce wideband, hptuners (just starting the tuning process), just ordered zzp comp cams (stage 2 supercharged. gonna be getting the springs, retainers, and balance shafts and may do an install day(s) if anyone is down. lol). i think that about sums it up. look forward to hearing from and meeting everyone!

thanx guys. i'll have to take some pics. only pics i have of the car are from when i first bought it. however my engine bay needs a little cleaning and dressing up. i noticed there was a thread for powder coating but i am unfamiliar with the time frame it takes and prices. since my car is a dd i can't be without it very long. but i will get some pics and post them up. random question, but have any of u been able to pass smog with cams?

what do you want powdercoated? i poste it up and they did some work for me and david and turned out great! and i dont have cams but one guy with sunfire does

lol wutever will make my engine look better than it does now. haven't kept it the cleanest so could use some lovin

welcome. Not sure how much having cams will effect emissions since emissions is based on the biproduct of how the fuel is being burned.

Welcome, I have cams (2.2) and it throws a p0300 random misfire, Turned of the fault with hptuners but likely wont pass tailpipe emissions with the cams.

when did u install your cams? any clue wuts causing u to throw that code? guess i'll just have to find a guy who will pass for a little extra compensation... lol

for me its cause of well idk haha

i gots 2.8 pulley 60lbs injector and bolt ons

Its random misfires so its not any specific cylinder or whatever

have u tuned with any software? i have hp tuners and am hoping with a proper tune i won't throw any codes

yee im tuned, it most likely throws that code when a missfire happens at WOT.

so its not the tune. i could be wrong haha

i re-thought my post, i meant like the lnf guys who throw a cel for a misfire in between shifts(user error)

but yea the tune does have play in that. i probably get random misfires at idle.....i do haha

so i made a misleading post, ma bad. no one read it haha

yee if a had misfires at WOT i would be off it quicker than awd launch ^_^
