Whats up everyone, Im Garrett. Im living out in Downey right now and had this forum recommended to me by someone on a different cobalt forum. Figured Id come check out some more local peoples rides, instead of the usual all across the country people who I prob will never meet.

Im driving a 2005 Cobalt Ls 2.2L with an automatic tranny...not exactly a race car, but im working on it. For a long time I was saving up to turbocharge or supercharge, but I ultimately decided I like n/a cars and wanted to see how far I can go with what I got.

SO far Ive polished the valve cover and some other metal parts under the hood, installed an injen intake, painted and installed a 2.4 intake manifold, and Im installing a turbotech upper engine mount this weekend.

IN a week Im going to order either the racing solution or vibrant header/downpipe combo and then all Ill have left is exhaust and maybe a 2.4 throttle body. Then I believe Ill be fully bolted and will get a trifecta tune probably as well since I think you need one to use a 2.4 TB on a 2.2.

After that, im thinking about cams, valves, and springs...then who knows.

Ive painted my trim in the interior and installed white face gauges, as well as replacing my shift handle and installing a "leather" boot.

One of my shocks blew so I have FE5 shocks, but I wont be buying my FE5 struts and pedders springs, probably a rear sway bar too, for like a month.

I dont think pedders lower too much, but I like the ride with them. Im still on stock wheels too, so Ill prob aim for the 17" range once I get there.

I dont have any recent pics since I really started caring for the paint and making it shine, but heres one.
    Tittysprinkles 101_0334

I have the windows tinted now and removed the mudflaps. Ill like it more once Ive got new wheels and a better looking stance.

I removed the plastic strips off the doors and debadged the trunk as well. Had to buff out a couple small scratches after I took this pic...oh and painted the muffler black too

    welcome
If youre willing to put the money into it you can have a fairly decent NA set up. probably wont break 200hp unless you get nitrous though. either way it can be a little beast. let me know when you need a tune.

Do not order the sway bar from them. Its made from mild steel and is a rip off of the progress rear sway bar. If you want a good bar go with either the powell race shop street or hardcore bar (these are the ones josh from ottp sells they are not made by ottp)
honestly I would steer clear of TTR all together but thats just cause all of their products are a knock off of someone elses and they have no clue as to why their products are designed the way they are.

I know a guy who loves his sway bar made by TTR, but I personally hadnt decided which I was going to buy. I think they sell a couple different ones by different companies.

Ill check out those you suggested as well. Im always looking for new deals and quality products.

Well I know TTR is coming out with a new bar that is strangely identical to the powell hardcore bar. I'm not trying to tell you who to buy from just suggesting do some research first. Like i said personally I would never buy from them just because of the way they conduct business. Its shady and I don't deal with shady people. John Powell actually researches and tests out everything on his own personal car before he even offers it to the community.

Decided to get rid of a lot of the blue trim...still deciding if I like it more than the blue.

How do you like that Injen intake? I was thinking about possibly buying it in the near future. Did you get a decent HP gain and all that?

I love the injen and it it still looks great. Since Im just a n/a 2.2, automatic no less, I cant say I noticed a huge power gain. There was a moderate increase in performance,as well as sounding cool, but until I finish getting fully bolted and then tuned I wont be able to take advantage of the true gains available.
