Hello Everyone

The name is Nery, i live in pasadena and drive a 2004 base model Cavalier. Upgrades so far are Eibach Sportline springs with Tokico DSpec adjustable shocks, k&n short ram intake, LE5 intake manifold, LSJ injectors, HP Tuners, Lsj exhaust mani goin out to a magnaflow cat and Street Series exhaust with 2.25" piping. I heard a little ticking noise a couple weeks ago which ended up being rod knock so its back with the guys that rebuilt the engine...

haha nice and welcome i think i pmd you on jbody.org huh? i like all the jdm pieces my dream car when i had a cavalier was a 96 z24 white 5 speed with trd bodykit and all the jdm pieces mirrors tails sidemarkers etc

Motor issues suck, my sister has an 05 sunfire, she didn't like to change the oil in her car. 103k miles the stock motor gave out (rod knock also)
I just changed her motor out for and ION/Cobalt motor.

Oh, back to the 03+ front end I see.

Yea I liked the 02 end better not big fan or 03 and up front or rear

Whats up tom, been a while huh... yeah man I didnt wanna believe it was rod knock at first because I'm always checking the oil and changing it on time so i went around and changed the chain, tensioner and everything else that's also known to cause ticking noises but no luck. The block was rebuilt last july though and the guys gave me a 1 yr warranty so luckily i wont have to spend any money fixing it other than a new gasket. I had an suv/truck back into my car at school while it was parked and they ended up ruining the paint on the 02 front and leaving a huge crack in the cf hood so back to the stock front end

yeah the socal region is pretty dead on jbo, last time we had a meet was almost 2 years ago! so that says enough haha

haha well we have a meet every month so thats alot better and yea i had my cavy from 02-06 or so and i think we had a meet maybe 3 or 4 times in that long lol

I'll hopefully have my car running again soon so I can make the next meet
